Mayra and Wes | Engagement photos at Eleanor Tinsley Park

“If this is how it feels the win the lottery, then HOLY MOLY” said Mayra as we finishing their session. Their engagement session was by far one my of favorites. When I saw them, my jaw dropped! I must say , they dressed to the T… and I LOVE THAT!!!! They were so fun and amazing to work with! It was a perfect Saturday morning for engagement pictures in downtown Houston at Eleanor Tinsley Park the same place where we meet! Fun fact: I met Mayra and Wes that the same park while I was photographing another engagement session.

These two lovebirds got married this past weekend in Cape Town, South in March! Mayra she was the perfect bride! Mayra and Wes are true soulmates and absolutely felt the love during their engagement pictures in Houston.

HOW they met

Wes and I met downtown at a place called the Pastry War. It was really by chance as Wes is not originally from the U.S., he is from Cape Town, South Africa. He approached me and said “hi,” and when I heard it is a beautiful accent, I instantly felt a connection. We enjoyed an evening of bar-hopping together and exchanged numbers; the rest is history!
